The exhibition “Novi pogled: savremeni vizuelni umetnici u javnim prostorima Mionice” (“New Perspectives: contemporary visual artists in public spaces of Mionica”) from 16.-25.7.2014 takes place in the context of the Festival “Mišićevi Dani” and the remembrance of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War 1.

Silvia Lorenz: Bitka – Maketa za Spomenik, 2014 , 250x350cm, styropor, colour, plants

(Battle – Model for a monument)

The “battle – model for a monument” was made to remember the Battle of Kolubara, which happened close to the small town Mionica in late 1914. The work ideally would be cast in concrete – and set up as a work in public space next to the riverside in the centre of Mionica.
